Swan 2 Fountain Pen- Gold plated barrel and cap, 14 CT nib, made in U.S.A. The company originated in America from the beginnings during the 1860s when a Mr. Todd and a Mr. Mabie began making pencil cases and pen holders in New York. Later they were joined by the Bard Brothers who made Gold nibs and by 1873 the company of Mabie Todd and Bard were established in New York. By 1878 the first patent was filed for the design and manufacture of a fountain pen, achieved under the design leadership of one William Washington Stewart. The first Swan fountain pen followed just 6 years later in 1884 with an over-under feed with ink delivery assisted by a twisted silver wire.

Camel Fountain Pen- marble green barrel and cap, gold clip and center band, 14 CT gold pointed nib, made in Germany. Camel pens are distinctly Art Deco in style, but beyond the unusual filling system they are quite ordinary. Sections are hard rubber, bodies are celluloid, and nibs appear at several quality levels, ranging from untipped steel to very good 14K gold.

Sheaffer Pen Corporation is a manufacturer of writing instruments, particularly luxury fountain pens. The company was founded by Walter A. Sheaffer in Fort Madison, Iowa, and incorporated in 1913 to exploit his invention of a lever-filling fountain pen. The brand was sold by French parent company Bic to A. T. Cross Company in August, 2014.
