This piece of artwork is titled Donkey. This is an original and unique sculpture, made of Aluminum, Hand Painted, by Apostol of the Athens Gallery.

Apostol was born in a small village in the southern part of Greece, where from a young age, he showed his talent by winning awards in the school art contests. He graduated in Business but spent most of his time in art studios and the pop scene of New York in the 1970s. His heart was always in sculpture and painting.

When he came back to Greece, he opened his first gallery in the Athens Hilton Hotel and started slowly selling his sculptures to an international clientele.

He is an exceptional master of creating crystals and bronze sculptures. He draws much of his inspiration from water. In his work, water takes on a whole new meaning, it is no longer something fluid but it also appears to be solid as rock, something that can physically touched and mentally grasped.
