This piece of vintage spectacles Gandhi Style is made by Dinshaw M. Dastoor Co. Oculists and Opticians whose address is at Esplanader, Bombay, now known as Mumbai.

It comes with a vintage leather case with an emblem of the company. As oculists, they provide eye care services inlcuding eye examinations and dispensing of optical items like corrective lenses and eyeglasses.

In historical context, the term oculist is an older term for an eye doctor, often encompassing the roles of the now distinguished ophthalmologists.

This includes 7 pieces of the same vintage spectacles which was obtained by RAF during his India Trip on 10 - 17th July 2025.
