This piece of vintage spectacle is a Gandhi Style eyeglasses manufactured by Phiroze M. Dastoor Co, Oculists Opticians.

The case is made of leather with a significantly deteriorated emblem and rusty indicating that this might have been exposed to moisture or kept for a very long period.

The Gandhi Style spectacles are characterized by their round frames and were popular among the scholars and intellectuals with Mahatma Gandhi championing this style.

Phiroze M Dastoor & Co (Since 1904) is a family owned, 4th generation firm providing EyeCare to generations of families for many decades now.

This is a recent acquisition of RAF during his India Trip on 10 - 17 July 2025.
