This exquisite vintage vase showcases the exceptional artistry of Bohemian or German glassmaking, identified by its authentic echt kristall handgeschliffen base label. Crafted from brilliant, clear lead crystal, the body of the vase is meticulously encased in a rich layer of ruby- or cranberry-red glass. Skilled artisans then hand-cut intricate patterns, such as delicate stars and elaborate cross-hatched designs, through the colored layer to reveal the sparkling clarity of the crystal beneath. The use of Bleikristall, or full lead crystal, is evident in the glass s reflective facets and superior light refraction, a hallmark of traditional European craftsmanship.
