Description:
These are daggers featuring ornate handles, made of jade, and blades crafted from Damascus steel. The blades display the distinctive wavy patterns formed through the process of pattern welding, where layers of high- and low-carbon steel are forge-welded, folded, and drawn out repeatedly to create a layered structure. After shaping and heat treatment, the blades are subjected to acid etching, which highlights the contrast between the steel layers and reveals intricate, unique patterns. Each blade produced through this method has a distinct appearance due to the variations in the forging process. It was obtained by the AL Faraj Gallery on the 5th of October 2025
