Description:
This hand-carved wooden printing block originates from traditional textile workshops in India and is likely to date to the early 20th century. Crafted from dense hardwood, the raised surface features repeating oval and circular motifs, some enriched with finely ridged interior detailing. A subtly serrated outer edge was designed to assist with precise alignment during the printing process on fabric.
