Description:
This is a traditional figure known as a Nguzunguzu or Musu Musu from the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. Historically, it was placed on the prow of war canoes to protect the voyage and ward off evil spirits. Carved from dark ebony wood, it is durable and smooth and features inlaid shell decorations on the face and neck, adding an artistic decorative touch.
