Description:
A pair of traditional hand cymbals made of bronze or brass, consisting of two thin circular plates with a central raised dome connected by a cord. When struck together, they produce a clear, high-pitched, resonant sound. Known regionally as Manjira in northern India, Elathalam in Kerala, and Tingsha in Tibetan Buddhist rituals, these cymbals are used in devotional music, folk ensembles, and meditation practices.
