ABDERRAZAK HAMOUDA
Tunisian and Swiss.
• Lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland
• Self made modern calligrapher
• Born in 1953 in the city of Gabes , an oasis in Southern Tunisia.
•1975 , he studied Persian, English and Arabic languages and Civilizations in Paris , France
• 1986, he moved to Geneva where he became a Swiss citizen.
• 40 years of Calligraphy practicing and researching.
•His Art work and specific style are part of many private art collections in many countries
• A. Hamouda participated in more then 250 personal and group exhibitions in Switzerland, Tunisia, France, Italy, Saudia Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Austria, India, Abu Dhabi, Morocco, and Lebanon
• In 2000, he organized at the United Nations Palace in Genva, with his Bahraini friend Abbas Al Mossawi, the "Peace
2000" workshop involving in one day 2500 children and 197 artists of various nationalities from all over the world . The
idea was to promote Peace
• From 2011 to 2019 he created many International art events :
- International Calligraphy Meeting of Gabes ( Tunisia)
- Al Sayabi International art Forum In Muscat ( Oman)
- DarThabet International Meeting in Ajaltoun (Lebanon)
- International All Calligraphies Geneva Meeting ( Switzerland)
- Neapolis International Arabic Calligraphy , Nabeul (Tunisia)

" My Calligraphy art works and their texts express in perfect transparency my exact opinions and philosophy. Calligraphy demands extreme precision and an intellectual commitment based primarily on intellectual integrity. For me, art Is
first and foremost thoughts and positions and then technique"
