Ecridor Retro collection is a classic style with a rich heritage.
Naturally, this collection includes the Ecridor ballpoint, the forebear of all Caran d’Ache ballpoint pens.
The Ecridor pen made history shortly after the Second
World War, when it was selected by the headquarters of
the American armed forces in Germany as a personal gift
for one thousand selected personalities, a token of
appreciation to remind them all life long of their loyal
services. A masterpiece of precision, the Ecridor pen
presented several innovative features hexagonal metal
shaft with a smooth, conical tip, a highly accurate
push-button mechanism that ensured a soft operation,

This legendary pen, in large-scale production since 1953,
has remained unchanged since it was first created. It
now forms the centre-piece of the collection Ecridor
Retro which, in addition to the ballpoint pen, comprises
a mechanical pencil, fountain pen, and roller-ball or
fibre-tip pen. To create this collection, Caran D’Ache
introduced several visual and technical innovations
befitting of the year 2000. The collection is a harmonious
blend of nostalgia and avant-garde.
