A vintage tobacco pipe manufactured by L H Stern Inc. (LHS) of Brooklyn, New York, USA, from the Certified Purex line, dating approximately to the 1930s–1950s. Made from imported briar wood, it features the CERTIFIED PUREX and IMPORTED BRIAR shank markings, along with the distinctive LHS diamond stem logo. The pipe has a rusticated briar finish, a metal ferrule between the shank and stem, and a vulcanite mouthpiece. It represents the classic American pipe-making style of the mid-20th century.
