This is Officer s travel clock with handle, circa 1890, H-5 1 2 , W- 2 1 2 . Purchased by RAF during his London trip last July 2019.
A rectangular brass carriage clock with a hinged, faceted D-shaped handle the white enamel face painted with two dials in black on an incurving plinth base. The eight day rack ting-tang striking mechanism has a going barrel movement and European lever platform escapement. The enamel face has two dials the main dial has the 12 hours represented by Roman numerals and blued steel moon hands. The subsidiary alarm dial below has a blued steel pint.
