Jamal Abdul Rahim, Bahraini (1965 - ) Jamal is one of Bahrain’s most established and highly regarded contemporary artists. He builds his art from the movement of society deeply rooted in rich Arab civilization, its mythology, religion and language. He discovered at an early age that printmaking was what he wanted to do the most, as it is an endless adventure. He has already spent almost 25 years exploring this field and he is ready to spend the rest of his life doing so.
Born in Muharraq, Kingdom of Bahrain in 1965, he has already 15 individual exhibitions in Bahrain, 24 within Arab and International Countries, 26 joint exhibitions including Biennales Triennials, 15 National and International awards, and more than 30 handmade books artistic collections. Although, he is known as a printmaker and painter, he has also become an avid sculpting fan who believes that stone is already beautiful and by sculpting it, I am inspired, withdrawing that beauty into form .
