Hamad Shawi Mhatlaf, Iraqi Artist Hamad S. Mhatlaf art style depends upon the sources of Islamic Art especially calligraphy and Islamic architecture as well as the art of ornament. Utilizing these sources, he reconstruct them into achieving his vision of richness, elegance, and beauty.
He obtained fine arts degree in 1981 and received an appreciation in the international festival of Arabic Calligraphy in 1998. He has participated in several art galleries in Iraq as well as in Amman, London, Cyrpus, and Moscow.
