Agfamatic 100 is a viewfinder camera for Pak-Film 126 cassettes. It has an Agfa Colorstar lens with fixed focus and fixed aperture. Two shutter speeds are selectable with the ring around the lens barrel, the scale showing a cloud and a sun symbol. The camera has a single stroke advance lever that advances the film, cocks the Parator shutter and turns the flash cube holder on which magicubes can be fired as flash. On the axis of the advance lever is the red sensor , the shutter release button hidden under a round piece of red foil. A little black plastic button side on the side unlocks the back door for opening the camera. The back door has a window for making visible the film cassette s exposure counter. The camera has an optical bright frame viewfinder of reverse Galilean type. The Agfamatic 108 was a version of 1978 that needed flipflashes instead of magicubes for flash photography.

The German made camera also has a Parator shutter assembly with a fixed focus lens. The shutter speed of 1 100 of a second is regulated automatically down to 1 40 of a second with the installation of the flashcube. The flash range was 1.5 to 3 meters (5 to 10ft). The Iso-Pak C is an evolved version of the Iso-Pak. It uses the then popular flashcubes introduced in the early 1960’s. To activate the flashcubes the camera uses two CR2025 batteries. With the C model the thumb wheel film advance was replaced by a single action lever film advance, which has greater speed to the next frame. The shutter speed of 1 100 of a second is regulated automatically down to 1 40 of a second with the installation of the flashcube. The flash range was 1.5 to 3 meters (5 to 10ft). The camera sold for about 100.00 and 117.00 for the kit. This 126 film pack camera was introduced in 1969 and manufacturing stopped the following year in late 1970. The Agfamatic 126 is a simple viewfinder camera for square pictures on 126 film cartridges, made by Agfa in about 1969.[1] McKeown states that it is very similar to the Autostar X-126.[1] The body of the camera is plastic, and measures 3 1 8 wide x 2 1 2 tall x 2 deep. It has a knurled wheel to advance the film on the back, and tripod socket on the bottom. There is a socket on the top of the camera for standard flashcubes. A PX825 battery is required to fire the flash this fits inside the film compartment (the similar Autostar X-126 uses X-flashcubes, such as Magicubes, which do not require a battery to fire). There is no lightmeter behind the panel on the front the camera has fixed exposure, and fixed focus. The camera was made in Germany, France, Brazil and India.[1] The Agfamatic 126 is a simple viewfinder camera for square pictures on 126 film cartridges, made by Agfa in about 1969. The Voigtländer Bessy AK is a viewfinder camera manufactured by Balda on behalf of fellow German optics company Voigtländer which introduced the camera in 1965. So called to imply a (in reality, very faint) connection with the legendary Bessa name, the Bessy was a cutting edge camera designed for Kodak’s now obsolete 126 film cartridge, a format overwhelmingly popular at the time among amateur photographers who didn’t want to deal with the hassle of loading traditional roll films. There were five Bessy models manufactured between the mid ’60s and early ’70s. All of them were for the 126 format and all were manufactured by Balda which, surprisingly, never sold rebranded versions under their own name. The first four (including the AK) are very similar to each other with the only real differences being the lens and type of flash bulb supported. The Bessy AK has a Voigtländer Color-Lanthar 38mm f 2.8 lens mated to a Prontor-Matic V automatic leaf shutter made by Gauthier, the renowned German shutter manufacturer. Exposure is automatically controlled by the selenium meter but for low light situations, a built-in flash bulb reflector can be revealed by swiveling the corner panel directly underneath the viewfinder window. Like the vast majority of 126 cameras available at the time, the Bessy is very basic with very little manual control to speak of. The only real adjustment that can be made is focus which can be adjusted by rotating the ring surrounding the lens’ front element. Other than that, the only other controls are the textured black shutter button on the user’s right-hand side of the top plate and the film advance gear underneath it. This is an AGFA Memo, a compact folding camera made in Binghamton, New York by the AGFA ANSCO Corporation starting in 1939. This version of the Memo is a less common variant that shoots 18mm x 24mm single frame images on ANSCO’s Memo film, which is very similar to AGFA’s own Karat film which they produced at the same time. It uses double perforated 35mm film fed into hollow cassettes which travel into a take up cassette using a ratcheting claw film advance and does not require rewinding at the end of a roll. The Memo is a solidly built and capable camera that when folded shut is extremely compact and portable. The AGFA Memo is unique as one of the only AGFA branded cameras to be made in the United States. This camera was purchased during RAF trips in India on the 14th to 21st of December 2023.
